The characters were amazing, both being to 3 dimensional in their feelings and their fears and their longing for even the smallest possibility of happiness. I did enjoy the relationship the hero and heroine had for the bdide part. How to write a great review.
Harlequin Nocturne March Bundle. Harlequin Nocturne May Box Set. She thinks she finally found it when she advertises in the paper and an older man, a rancher, answers her ad and agrees to marry her. This is another stellar book. The characters were interesting even though Holden was an asshat. Even though there was obvious attraction between them from the jump, it took a lot for them to develop their feelings and that was something I loved. I couldn’t get a connection with the characters and I couldn’t get into the story at all.

I’ll stamp this 3 stars. But the cowboy werewolf? I have enjoyed other books by Susan Krinard so don’t let this book or my review deter you from checking out her other work. Rachel, orphaned at 5, orphanage for awhile, taken in by her aunt, had an affair with a man who only wanted to marry her for her aunt’s money, gets pregnant, tossed out by aunt, deserted by man, looses baby, works menial jobs, 6 years later answers ad for mail order bride, goes to the ranch in spite of the nephew’s trying to get rid of her She takes over the care of the infant, and bit by bit she and Holden connect.

I’m not even curious about how the story ended. We appreciate your feedback. I didn’t connect with any of the characters. The hero assists in a difficult delivery of a foal and the babe has one leg bent preventing it from entering the birth canal.

In addition to writing, Susan’s interests include music of almost every kind, old movies, reading, nature, baking, and collecting unique handmade jewelry and decorative crafts.
The characters didn’t draw me in, the storyline was flat for me. But the arrival of Rachel, his Susan Krinard never dreamed of becoming a writer.

The beginning of the book was disjointed and the pacing was irregular due to page after page teh introspection on the part of the hero.
