I got to know more about a number of characters, especially the amazing Kalec, also known as Kalecgos of the Blue Dragonflight.

Jaina Proudmoore is a badass. Thrall however is wholly given over to his duties with the Earthen Ring and he makes it plain that his path is different and that he will not go back to the Horde or bring Garrosh to heel.


What I felt we got were characters that got weaker, weaker plot points, and even weaker conclusions. Prelude to the Cataclysm, and she even meets with him to make him see reason, to realise that under the volatile Garrosh, there will be war soon.

Reading this book definitely helped me understand Jaina Proudmoore’s character a whole lot better and I actually started to like her a bit Even as a Horde player while she is an Alliance character.

Not the highest storytelling point for Blizzard Tidee Hour of Twilight. It was caught in a hovering, jagged chunk of ice, the runes that ran the length of its blade glowing a cool blue. Pressfield is a master storyteller, especially adept in his graphic and embracing descriptions of the land and naval battles, political intrigues and colorful personalities, which come together in an intense and credible portrait of war-torn Greece.

Really, I absolutely loved this and I really want to read more about Jaina Proudmoore as a person. Do different times call for different ethical standards? Oh my, this is a tough question, I really liked the whole story but but better understanding Jaina was well worth it. The budding romance between Jaina and Kalecgos seemed out of place and a bit one sided for a good part of the book, so its inclusion made me wonder at the purpose of it. Four there were now, but there would soon be five again, when the blues determined how to choose the one who would lead them.
